Location: Flexible - Role can be based at any of our Head Offices (Murarrie in Brisbane, Port Melbourne in Melbourne or Alexandira in Sydney)

We are looking for a Safety, Healthand Wellbeing Partner who will be responsible for providing safety, health and wellbeing advice to Goodstarters and people leaders. They are the first point of call for our centres enabling them to respond to the health, safety wellbeing needs of our people. They use established processes, procedure and practices to manage incidents and provide consistent, timely advice to Goodstarters ensuring that we meet our safety commitments. They take the complex and help make it simple. 

 

Your Impact: 

  • Responding to enquiries and incidents raised by Goodstarters across the organisation by leveraging established organisation policies, procedures and practices.

  • Undertake incident investigations including gathering of information in line with agreed procedures.

  • Liaise with regulatory authorities on incidents or injuries in line with legislative requirements and timeframes.

  • Support the network with hazard identification and risk assessments.

  • Provide advice, strategies and problem solving to the Network on health and safety matters.

  • Provide ongoing coaching and mentoring to centre staff and operations on their roles and responsibilities 

  • Provide end to end management of infectious diseases including engagement of Public Health Authorities in each jurisdiction. 

  • Support the review and development of the safety policy and procedure framework.

You’ll bring to the table: 

  • Demonstrated understanding and application of Workplace Health and Safety Legislation

  • Cert 4 in WHS or equivalent demonstrated experience

  • Experience working in a social enterprise, education or health sector. 

  • Experience answering and responding to a high volume of phone calls and email enquiries. 

  • Effectively manages new and unexpected events and demonstrates the ability to determine when to escalate issues.
