We’re looking for an enthusiastic Teacher to develop programs and practices that are responsive to our children’s needs and aligned with the Early Years Learning Framework and National Quality Standard.

Goodstart Early Learning Langwarrin is located in leafy Langwarrin. Our child care centre is easily accessible in a prime location on Cranbourne Road offering off-road parking and public transport right at our front door.

 

Goodstart Langwarrin offers large outdoor environments for each age group. We embrace this resource by undertaking indoor/outdoor play daily. Our current centre goal is our continual development to create a natural environment, that promotes educational experiences for all children both indoors and out. Educators use outdoor time to implement activities which allow children time to develop both physically, emotionally and developmentally through play, as well as a combination of Intentional teaching experiences for learning and development including bringing indoor activities out to stimulate our children’s growing curiosities.


Your role

  • Hold a Bachelor of Early Childhood or equivalent qualification (ACECQA approved)
  • Hold a current First Aid qualification
  • 58 place, well resourced centre
  • Full time, permanent role commencing immediately
  • The centre is offering a set shift
  • The role will be leading a 16 place 3 – 4 year room
  • Plan innovative and engaging learning experiences
  • Champion positive and meaningful relationships with children
  • Centre has incursions and excursions in place

 

Responsibilities

  • Assess children’s learning and development and apply pedagogical expertise to inform curriculum decisions
  • Maintain and apply expert knowledge of the National Quality Framework
  • Seek and share best practice examples to improve the education program
  • Build and maintain strong, positive relationships with families, children and the centre team
  • Model effective application of pedagogy in teaching practice
  • Contribute to a professional and positive work culture
