We have an exciting opportunity for a Business Improvement Consultant to join our team on a 12-month fixed-term contract.


Based at our Murarrie office in Brisbane, you will be responsible for delivering systems training to our Centre Director and Area Managers, while helping to coach labour management and finding ways to improve cost efficiency across the Goodstart network.


This role forms part of the wider Business Improvement team, focused on working closely with our State teams to provide Operations Support services to Goodstart centres, call centre services to parents, business analysis, continuous improvement and project delivery. The department includes a Solution Centre, Analyst Hub, Systems Trainers and Project Delivery. The team’s mission is to support the network in achieving high performance, high customer service standards and operational efficiency.


Key Deliverable

  • Actively monitor and report on data integrity and policy compliance in our major source systems- such as, but not limited to, Kronos and QikKids.
  • Work with relevant stakeholders to map, document and improve current systems processes, assess for efficiency and ensure appropriate governance structures are in place.
  • Assist with the development and evaluation of the effectiveness of training materials and training delivery using an agreed upon framework for assessment of outcomes.
  • Liaise with project teams to develop appropriate end user training and support materials to ensure smooth transfers to BAU when new systems are brought online. 
  • Assist with creating a library of information such as, intranet pages, FAQ’s, workbooks and instructional videos to improve proficiency within the network on systems and customer service standards.


To be successful in the role, it is essential that you possess the following skills and experience:

  • Sound knowledge or QikKids and Kronos systems
  • Experience in training delivery and facilitation
  • Intermediate skills in data collection- specifically the aptitude to learn the required skills to extract data from the business intelligence systems. 
  • Intermediate excel skills
  • The ability to translate business requirements into systems training and development
  • Ability to effectively develop and assess training materials and deliver tailored solutions to the network
  • Assist in the development and delivery of ad hoc reporting and standardised frequency reporting as required by the network
  • Ability to travel within the state and interstate as required
