We have a new opportunity for a diligent Program Coordinator, who will be responsible for planning, coordination, communication, delivery and reporting of professional learning programs within Goodstart.


A typical day in the role of a program coordinator would involve the following:

  • Monitoring of Professional Learning inbox/events booking form
  • Scheduling workshops nationally
  • Booking and distributing travel and accommodation nationally for workshops attendees
  • Booking venues – nationally (including contract signing)
  • Catering for all events
  • Negotiating costs for venues/day delegate rates
  • Building relationships with suppliers to ensure good rates/positive customer experience
  • Creating events/registration pages on Goodstart’s Learning Portal
  • Delegate communications -  updates and reminders.
  • On-site support to Events Manager on larger Goodstart events and conferences
  • Raising Purchase Orders and receipting purchase orders
  • Processing invoices for payment
  • Monitoring costs and providing monthly costs to program manager
  • Budget management of events/workshop series.


Previous experience in the following areas;

  • Travel and Event Coordination utilising the booking travel tool
  • Experience managing an events budget.
  • Teamwork – working closely with another Program Co-ordinator
  • Organised and managing competing priorities
  • Ability to engage and influence others, build and maintain relationships
  • Continuous improvement on all systems, processes and filing



  • Bachelor in Marketing, Communications, Business or Events would be highly regarded
