Centre Cook - Goodstart Wodonga

Part Time 12 hours per week – working Monday & Tuesday

No weekends or nights - school hours 

Job Share Position – flexibility to cover other days will be required

As the cook for the service, you will be tasked with the critical job of providing the children at our service with healthy and nutritious meals. You will be required to provide breakfast, morning tea, lunch, afternoon tea and a late snack for children aged from 6 weeks to 5 years old.

 

As a job share role there will be times where flexibility to work additional days will be required along with additional tasks of ordering and menu planning.

 

Training and support will be provided to ensure you are confident to take on this tasks.

About You:

  • Support the health and wellbeing of the children through planning and preparing nutritious meals and snacks
  • Prepare meals to meet the needs of special dietary requirements and allergies
  • Exceptional knowledge of safety and wellbeing within a kitchen
  • Order food supplies in consultation with the Centre Director & budgets
  • Ensure safe and hygienic storage, handling and preparation of food and drinks
  • Be able to hold a valid Victorian Working with Children's Check
  • Available to work hours between 8am – 3.30pm

 

If you hold a Food Handling and Menu Planning certificate, OR a Certificate in Cookery and have experience cooking meals within a child care centre or similar environment, then we’d love to meet you!
