As a Cook at Goodstart, you'll create delicious, healthy meals that fuel young minds and bodies, becoming a cherished part of our community. Your passion for food and commitment to quality will play a crucial role in shaping the daily experiences of the children in our care.
In this role, you will:
- Ensure the safety of children by preparing meals to account for special dietary requirements and allergies
- Use your creativity and organisational skills to plan the menu and order food supplies in consultation with the Centre Director
- Maintain high standards of food safety by ensuring all storage, handling and preparation of food and drinks is hygienic

Goodstart Early Learning ANU is a purpose-built, architecturally designed centre located on the ANU campus in Canberra. We care for up to 112 children aged six weeks to five years, supporting ANU staff, students, and local families. With spacious indoor environments filled with natural light, age-appropriate playgrounds, and healthy meals prepared onsite, we provide children with the best start in life. Our centre holds an “Exceeding” rating under the National Quality Standard, reflecting our commitment to high-quality education, safety, and care.

You’ll need:
- Certificate III in Commercial Cookery or experience cooking within a childcare setting
- Current Working with vulnerable persons card (ACT)
