The Recover@Work Specialist leads the Recover@Work team, providing direction, coaching, and technical oversight to ensure consistent and effective injury management and return-to-work outcomes across Goodstart. It focuses on embedding best-practice approaches for both work and non-work injuries, ensuring compliance with workers’ compensation requirements, and supporting operational leaders to implement practical, cost-effective recovery strategies.
Working closely with insurers and partners to oversee national workers’ compensation programs, monitor claims performance, and improve processes to reduce costs and disruptions. Through strong team leadership and strategic case management, it aims to deliver positive recovery experiences while supporting broader organisational goals around safety, wellbeing, and business performance.
Your Impact:
- Lead and manage the Recover@Work Partner and Team Support resources, setting clear priorities, performance expectations and structured work allocation aligned to organisational strategy.
- Strengthen capability across operational leadership teams by providing guidance, coaching and practical support in managing workplace injury, recovery and sustainable return to work.
- Maintain contemporary knowledge of Workers’ Compensation and Work Health and Safety legislation, regulations, codes of practice and relevant Australian Standards.
- Ensure quality and consistency of return-to-work and injury management practices, communication and technical advice delivered by the Recover@Work team.
- Monitor case management practices and recovery outcomes across the Recover@Work portfolio, including internal case reviews and continuous improvement activities.
- Develop the professional capability of Recover@Work Partners through mentoring, coaching, and structured learning activities.
- Facilitate knowledge sharing, case discussions and learning opportunities to strengthen organisational capability in injury management and return-to-work practices.

You’ll bring to the table:
- Tertiary degree qualified in an allied health professional, work health safety, and/or related discipline, or equivalent preferred.
- Minimum ten years’ experience in Workers Compensation.
- Exceptional time management and prioritisation skill. Highly organised.
- Excellent relationship development skills, with the ability to balance work and interaction with internal stakeholders, key suppliers, and industry contacts.
- Discretion and confidentiality required.
- Genuine care and leadership for safety
