Role: Speech Pathologist – NSW/ACT

Employment Type: Part-time (22.8 hrs per week)

Our Role:

As a Speech Pathologist in NSW/ACT within our Social Impact and Inclusion team, you will play a vital role in supporting children’s communication, emergent literacy and social development within early learning settings.

 

Working in partnership with Centre Directors, Educators and families, you’ll deliver early intervention strategies and build capability within centre teams to create communication-rich learning environments.

 

Your Impact:

In this role, you will:

  • Work collaboratively with educators to support children’s communication and developmental needs
  • Coach and build capability of centre teams to identify and respond to developmental concerns
  • Provide evidence-informed guidance to enhance teaching, learning and inclusive practices
  • Support families through engagement, referrals and access to community and allied health services
  • Facilitate multi-agency collaboration to ensure holistic support for children and families
  • Contribute to early intervention strategies that improve outcomes across communication, literacy and social development

You’ll bring to the table:

Essential

  • Tertiary qualifications in Speech Pathology
  • Strong understanding of child development (birth–5 years)
  • Experience working with young children and families, ideally within early childhood or community settings
  • Ability to coach, influence and build capability in educators and stakeholders
  • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
  • Current Working with Children Check

Desirable:

  • Experience in early childhood or allied health settings
  • Knowledge of referral pathways and community services
  • Experience in coaching or mentoring others
