As a Child Protection Partner, you’ll play a vital role in supporting our centres to respond to safeguarding concerns, child protection matters, and potentially harmful situations involving children.
Your guidance will help ensure that all children in our care feel safe, are safe, and continue to access high-quality early learning.

Your Impact:
In this critical role, you’ll support centres across the country to manage and respond to child protection concerns in line with national and state-based legislation, reportable conduct schemes, and Goodstart’s child safe frameworks. You’ll build staff capability, provide timely advice, and guide centre teams through sensitive matters with professionalism and empathy.
By helping centres follow correct reporting processes, risk mitigation strategies, and incident close-outs, you’ll play a key role in maintaining our commitment to being a child safe organisation. Your contributions will directly support the wellbeing of children, while also uplifting the confidence, knowledge, and responsiveness of the educators and leaders who care for them every day.

You’ll bring to the table:
- Previous experience in a customer-focused role, ideally with exposure to issue or incident management
- The ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment and quickly adapt to changing priorities
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to build trust and provide clear, practical guidance to centre staff
- Confidence in following organisational processes, policies, and legislation related to child protection
- Familiarity with child safe principles, child protection frameworks, and the Education and Care Services National Law and Regulations (desirable)
- Experience managing or responding to safeguarding concerns, investigations, or reportable conduct (desirable)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and the ability to use data and systems to monitor and track reports and trends (desirable)
- Previous experience in early childhood education is a bonus, but not essential
- A current Working with Children Check relevant to your state or territory
