Centre: Goodstart Bentleigh East – South Road

Employment Type: Part-time (30 hours a week), 3-month Fixed-Term Position

Pay: $29.94 - $33.83 p/h (Depending on qualification and experience) + Super

As a Cook at Goodstart, you'll create delicious, healthy meals that fuel young minds and bodies, becoming a cherished part of our community. Your passion for food and commitment to quality will play a crucial role in shaping the daily experiences of the children in our care.

In this role, you will:

• Ensure the safety of children by preparing meals to account for special dietary requirements and allergies
• Use your creativity and organisational skills to plan the menu and order food supplies in consultation with the Centre Director
• Maintain high standards of food safety by ensuring all storage, handling and preparation of food and drinks is hygienic
• Work a part time roster of 30 hours per week, starting from 8:30am

Love cooking nourishing meals that make a real difference? Goodstart Bentleigh East – South Road is looking for a passionate Centre Cook to be the heart of our kitchen. Located on Boonwurrung country, our welcoming, community-focused centre supports around 60 children each day, providing freshly prepared, nutritious meals that help fuel learning, play and growth.

As our Centre Cook, you’ll plan and prepare healthy, balanced meals and snacks in line with Goodstart’s nutrition guidelines, catering for allergies and individual dietary needs.

You’ll need:

• Certificate III in Commercial Cookery or experience cooking within a childcare setting
• Current VIC Working with Children Check
