As a Cook at Goodstart, you'll create delicious, healthy meals that fuel young minds and bodies, becoming a cherished part of our community. Your passion for food and commitment to quality will play a crucial role in shaping the daily experiences of the children in our care.

In this role, you will:

• Ensure the safety of children by preparing meals to account for special dietary requirements and allergies
• Use your creativity and organisational skills to plan the menu and order food supplies in consultation with the Centre Director
• Maintain high standards of food safety by ensuring all storage, handling and preparation of food and drinks is hygienic

About Goodstart Braddon

Goodstart Early Learning Child Care Centre Braddon is located in the quiet suburb of Braddon two kilometres north of Canberra's CBD.
Goodstart Braddon boasts nearby attractions such as a wide open park for children to explore, and close access to cafes and shops. We are also within walking distance to the City Centre Mall with Floriade just a few short blocks away.
We are a nationally Accredited centre, open 52 weeks of the year except public holidays.

Our opening hours are from 7.30am to 6pm. We are an 84 place child care centre with four rooms.

Each room provides an Early Years Learning Framework (ELYF) program specifically designed to meet the developmental needs of the children in the room.

Our three to five years’ rooms provide a program that aims to build the learning foundations for these children to go to school.

You’ll need:

• Certificate III in Commercial Cookery or experience cooking within a childcare setting
• Current ACT Working with Children Check
