As an Educational Leader at Goodstart, you'll collaborate with Educators in your centre to observe, review, and continuously enhance the educational programs offered to children. You'll deepen the team's understanding of child development and early years content, guiding the application of the Early Years Learning Framework. Working closely with the centre leadership team, you'll lead transformative changes and champion excellence in educational practice.

About Goodstart Browns Plains, Browns Plains Road

• Located on the corner of Wembley Rd and Browns Plains Rd, with bus stop access and onsite parking
• Close to major shopping centres and community services
• Long-standing, passionate educators – some with over 12 years at the centre
• Cater for children from 6 weeks to school age
• Play-based learning aligned with the EYLF and enhanced through Storypark
• Strong community connections and participation in local events and sustainability programs
• Outdoor play spaces include gardens, sandpits, fort, mud kitchen, and undercover verandahs

About the Role – Educational Leader / 2nd ECT

• Permanent full-time role in our ECHO Centre, supporting vulnerable families
• Dual role: Educational Leader + Early Childhood Teacher (12 children per week)
• 2 hours programming time per week (done onsite), plus Educational Leader time
• Work mostly solo in the room, with strong team and leadership support
• Experience in early childhood essential; must be studying towards or hold a Bachelor of Early Childhood (or equivalent)
• QRS and QKLG experience preferred but not essential
• No after-hours work required – great for work/life balance - except for 1 paid staff meeting per month
• Onsite parking and public transport at the doorstep

You’ll need:

• Diploma in Early Childhood (or ACECQA approved equivalent)
• Strong knowledge of the Early Years Learning Framework and National Quality Standards
• Current Qld Working with Children Check
