We are seeking an Educator and Cook to compliment our Burpengary team. This is a part-time role on a Thursday and Friday, being our centre cook from 6am until 11.30am and then our lunch cover educator from 12.30pm until 2.30pm
There is also the option to work additional hours as a float Educator on other days.
In the Educator Role (2 hours per day) you will:
- Actively contribute to the education program in the room and the centre team as a lunch-cover float Educator
- Engage and supervise the children at all times
- Maintain a safe environment for children, families and team members
- Build and maintain strong, positive relationships with children and families
- Comply with National Quality Standards and Goodstart policies and procedures
- Support a culture of reflective practice and ongoing continuous improvement
In the Cook role (5.5 hours per day) you will:
- Ensure the safety of children by preparing meals to account for special dietary requirements and allergies
- Use your creativity and organisational skills to plan the menu and order food supplies in consultation with the Centre Director
- Maintain high standards of food safety by ensuring all storage, handling and preparation of food and drinks is hygienic

You’ll need:
- Certificate III or Diploma in Early Childhood (or ACECQA approved equivalent)
- Strong knowledge of the Early Years Learning Framework and National Quality Standards
- Current QLD Working with Children Check
