As the Assistant Director at Goodstart Burton, you'll leverage your expertise and leadership to inspire and motivate your centre team, driving continuous improvement across all areas of centre operations. Collaborate with our dedicated leadership team, forge respectful and reciprocal relationships with families, and actively engage with the local community networks.
In this role, you will:
- Support the Centre Director in the leadership of the team to provide high-quality early learning and care
- Mentor and build capabilities within the centre team
- Be responsible for the overall management of the centre in the Centre Director’s absence
- Use and implement the Goodstart Practice Guide
About Goodstart Burton
Join our close-knit, nurturing early learning community at Goodstart Burton! We're looking for a passionate and experienced Assistant Director to support the leadership and daily operations of our 84-place centre with an occupancy of 75.5% year to date. A friendly and growing suburb just 25-minutes from Adelaide CBD, located on Springbank Boulevard, we’re conveniently close to public transport, local shops, and schools – with a gorgeous park right next door for outdoor excursions with the children.
- Goodstart Burton offers a warm, engaging spaces: a nursery (0-2 years), toddler room (2-3 years), and two preschool classrooms (3-4 and 4-5 years), each thoughtfully designed around children’s interests and educator-led enhancements.
- This is a full-time position, working between 6:30am – 6:30pm, Monday to Friday.
- Assisting in leading and mentoring a team of Early Childhood Professionals.
- Building meaningful relationships with families, children and the wider community.
- Ensuring high-quality learning environments that reflect the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF).
- Contributing to continuous improvement and quality assurance processes.
- Stepping into the Director role when required.

What you need:
- Diploma OR Bachelor of Early Childhood or equivalent qualification (ACECQA approved)
- Current SA Working with Children Check and First Aid qualification
