As the Assistant Director at Goodstart Carrum Downs Arcadia Street you'll leverage your expertise and leadership to inspire and motivate your centre team, driving continuous improvement across all areas of centre operations. Collaborate with our dedicated leadership team, forge respectful and reciprocal relationships with families, and actively engage with the local community networks.

About Goodstart Carrum Downs Arcadia Street:

• We are a small, homely 56 place centre located in a quiet residential area, close to public transport, and with ample staff parking available
• You will be joining an enthusiastic team that enjoys working together
• Our rooms are small with a maximum on 17 children
• We strive to be a family and community orientated centre offering extra curriculum activities such as incursions for all age groups, weekly walks and various celebrations

In this role, you will:

• Support the Centre Director in the leadership of the team to provide high-quality early learning and care
• Mentor and build capabilities within the centre team
• Be responsible for the overall management of the centre in the Centre Director’s absence
• Use and implement the Goodstart Practice Guide

If you have previous experience as an Assistant Director or in a centre leadership position, or similar, then we’d love to talk to you about which of our amazing opportunities would be the best fit for you.

You’ll need:

• A Diploma or bachelor’s in early childhood education
• Hold a current Working with Children Check, or be willing to obtain one
• Experience with leading and managing change within education, health or community services
• Experience in delivering integrated early childhood services in areas of disadvantage
• Proven commercial acumen with financial and operational performance management
