Centre Cook | Goodstart Drouin


Goodstart Drouin is seeking a Permanent Part Time Cook to join the centre for 25 hours a week capacity. You will work 5 hours a day for 5 days a week.


About our Centre: 

Goodstart Drouin is located 90kms east of Melbourne. The centre is close to the main street and shops as well as a train station, bus stop and schools. All our rooms are set up in line with an Early Years Learning Framework, with sensory and play based learning opportunities. A major focus of the centre is how working with the broader community can help us enrich the children’s learning experience.  We strive to work in partnership with families to build strong community members in an interactive learning environment.

About The Role:

This is an autonomous role you can own with with support of the centre team. The responsibilities are as follows:


  • Planning and preparing nutritious meals and snacks 

  • Prepare meals to meet the needs of children with special dietary requirements and allergies 

  • Order food supplies in consultation with the Centre Director 

  • Ensure safe and hygienic storage, handling and preparation of food and drinks   


About You:


  • Exceptional knowledge of hygiene, safety and wellbeing 
  • Able to work by self and with timeframes
  • Strong organisational skills with attention to detail.
  • Willingness to learn and be a part of the team 

  • Strong communication skills, reliable and punctual
