Role: Employee Relations Partner

Location: East Victoria Park, Perth (Nyoongar Nation)

Be the trusted first point of contact for all people-related matters, delivering tailored, humanised ER support that empowers leaders, strengthens culture, and creates Amazing Goodstarter Experiences across our national network. 

 

Your Impact:

As an Employee Relations Partner, you’ll play a critical role in supporting leaders and team members with timely, pragmatic and people-centred advice. You will:

  • Provide on-demand coaching across engagement, retention, performance and complex case management.

  • Deliver clear, risk-aware, and solutions-focused guidance that keeps our business moving at pace.

  • Build leader confidence by empowering them to make informed, values-aligned decisions.

  • Act as a culture ambassador, modelling our foundations and championing a positive, inclusive and safe working environment.

  • Support investigations, performance processes and policy interpretation across the employee lifecycle.

  • Partner with specialists to strengthen our organisational culture, improve people practices, and drive continuous improvement.

  • Reinforce Goodstart’s commitment to safety, reconciliation and a child-safe environment in everything you do.

You’ll bring to the table:

  • Tertiary qualifications in HR, ER, Law or equivalent experience.
  • Broad generalist experience across the employee lifecycle, including performance, conduct, policy, and case management.
  • Strong customer-service mindset with the ability to build trust, adapt your communication style, and maintain confidentiality.
  • Experience in fast-paced, high-volume environments where you balance competing priorities with accuracy and care.
  • High attention to detail, strong written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to provide clear, confident advice.
  • Capability to work flexibly, navigate ambiguity, and deliver solutions that support both people and business outcomes.
  • A collaborative mindset with a genuine commitment to continuous improvement and enhancing the Goodstarter experience.
  • Current WA Working with Children Check
