Looking for a chance to bring your knowledge and creativity to an environment where you’ll be truly valued? If you’re excited by the chance to shape pedagogy and practice in your room, we’d love to talk to you about which of our amazing opportunities would be the best fit for you.

As an Early Childhood Teacher, you’ll inspire a love of learning in children and foster their development through purposeful, intentional teaching practices that are delivered with creativity and energy. You will build meaningful relationships with families, so each child has a strong sense of belonging that supports them to thrive. Your love of teaching will be reflected in how you mentor and guide educational practices in your room, and in your work with the broader centre leadership team to develop, review, and implement high-quality early learning programs, to ensure you’re achieving optimal outcomes for children.

Are you an Early Childhood Teacher looking for a nurturing and inclusive environment where your passion for early childhood education can truly flourish? Goodstart Fortitude Valley invites you to become a part of our warm and welcoming family. Here's why our center is the perfect place for you:

  • Home Away from Home: Our center is more than just a place to work; it's a place filled with love, magic, patience, and inclusion. We prioritize children's well-being and place great importance on building meaningful relationships.

  • Belief in Every Child: We firmly believe that every child deserves the best possible start in life. Childhood is a precious time, and we cherish each day as an opportunity to make it special for the children in our care.

  • Nature-Connected Learning: Our sweeping outdoor playgrounds offer children the chance to connect with nature and the land throughout the year. They engage in messy, muddy, and wet play experiences, fostering a deep connection to the environment. We collaborate closely with local Indigenous Elders to promote environmental awareness, sustainability, and connection.

  • Multi-Age Play: Our multi-age playgrounds encourage siblings and friends from different age groups to play together in the fresh air and sunshine. Sandpits, mud kitchens, bike tracks, train line viewing platforms, natural creek beds with running water, and mud pits create an engaging and dynamic play environment.

  • Autonomy and Choice: Our curriculum focuses on indoor-outdoor learning, allowing children the autonomy to choose where they want to play and explore. We provide meals, nappies, sunscreen, and the Storypark platform for seamless family communication. Additionally, onsite underground car parking adds to the convenience of drop-off and pick-up.

  • Diverse Learning Spaces: With nine learning spaces, we cater to children aged 6 weeks to 5 years. We offer two Government-funded Kindergarten programs based on the QKLG, emphasising social development, emotional regulation, and PLAY.

  • Inclusive Approach: Our 'Blue Room' provides a safe and calming environment with specialized resources for children with diverse developmental needs. We also feature a bush tucker garden, "Amaroo," home to Native Stingless Bees and a variety of sensory plants.

  • Diverse Team: Our team of 30+ educators hails from all over the world, promoting diversity and inclusion among staff, families, and children.

  • Passionate Professionals: Our Early Childhood Professionals are dedicated and passionate, emphasising strong relationships and striving for excellence in delivering stimulating and engaging programs.

  • Supportive Leadership Team: Our passionate and supportive leadership team is here to guide and mentor you every step of the way.

  • Private Staff Rooms: Enjoy the convenience of two private staff rooms for breaks and meetings.

  • Multicultural Team: Our diverse team represents a multicultural community, fostering an inclusive and enriching environment.
