Centre: Goodstart Glenwood - Forman Avenue 

Employment Type: Full-time fixed term role (untill April 2026)

Pay: $ 43.91 - $43.83

As the Assistant Director at Goodstart Glenwood - Forman Avenue, you'll leverage your expertise and leadership to inspire and motivate your centre team, driving continuous improvement across all areas of centre operations. Collaborate with our dedicated leadership team, forge respectful and reciprocal relationships with families, and actively engage with the local community networks. 

 

In this role, you will:  

  • Support the Centre Director in the leadership of the team to provide high-quality early learning and care 

  • Mentor and build capabilities within the centre team 

  • Be responsible for the overall management of the centre in the Centre Director’s absence 

  • Use and implement the Goodstart Practice Guide 

 

About Goodstart Glenwood - Forman Avenue: 

Goodstart Glenwood – Forman Avenue is seeking a passionate Early Childhood Teacher to join our vibrant and supportive team. Nestled beside a peaceful park and close to local cafés, shops, and gyms, our Centre offers a welcoming environment where educators thrive. With a capacity of 90 places across five rooms and operating at approximately 98%, we’re proud of our strong team culture and adaptability through change. You’ll be joining a team of 25 educators, including four ECTs, and we’re open to flexible arrangements—whether you prefer four long days or a full five-day week. This role will be room-based, with placement depending on the candidate’s background. We do provide a dedicated staff planning room and a rotating roster (or set shifts of 7:30am–5:30pm for four-day options). We welcome applicants with or without Assistant Director experience, and our Assistant Director currently receives two hours of non-contact time weekly.
