Your Impact  

As a  Permanent Part Time cook and to be successful in this role you will need to have availability between Mon-Fri, 7:00am - 6.00pm as shifts are required.

 You put safety first with everything that you do and ensure all learning experiences are inclusive and response to the needs of all children.  

 

 About You:

  • Hold a Certificate III Commercial Cookery
  • Food Safety and Menu planning certificates (or willing to obtain)
  • Previous experience in early childhood or childcare environments
  • Demonstrating exceptional knowledge of safety and wellbeing
  • Willingness to learn and be a part of the team
  • Maintaining strong communication skills, being reliable and punctual

 

 Your role

  • Support the health and wellbeing of the children through planning and preparing nutritious meals and snacks
  • Prepare meals to meet the needs of children with special dietary requirements and allergies
  • Order food supplies in consultation with centre director
  • Ensure safe and hygienic storage, handling and preparation of food and drinks
  • Work as part of a team to create a safe, caring and educational place for children
