Your Impact!

  

As the Centre Director at Goodstart Gunnedah you will use your experience and leadership qualities to engage and motivate your centre team to drive continuous improvement in all aspects across centre operation and to extend your network of relationships with children, families, and educators. You will work in collaboration with your centre leadership team .  

 

You will establish respectful and reciprocal relationships with families and engage in networks within the centre’s local community. 

The Centre:

Goodstart Early Learning Gunnedah is a 66 place centre with four rooms including nursery, toddler, junior preschool and preschool. Our centre is located in the midst of the traditional lands of the Kamilaroi People, surrounded by agricultural and mining industries, yet with the convenience of being close to main roads, schools and shops.

Our educators are passionate and committed to assisting our children to develop a love of learning through the opportunities they are given. We are very proud of the relationships that we have with our families which provides the basis for successful partnerships and outcomes for children.

 

  • This position is a full-time permanent role – 40 hours a week with an optional RDO (ECT only)
  • Established centre, open from 7am to 6pm Monday to Friday
  • Onsite parking available and local public transport links
  • Gunnedah is located in a rich farming community and is home to Agquip, the largest agricultural field day event IN NSW
  • Gunnedah is also the childhood home of Dorothea McKellar who wrote the famous poem “My County”
  • Gunnedah is located approximately 50 minutes from Tamworth, a large regional centre and home to the famous Country Music Festival
  • Relocation costs will be considered

 

You’ll help achieve this by:   

 

  • Hold a Bachelor of Early Childhood or equivalent qualification (ACECQA approved)
  • Having strong communication skills, both written and verbal 
  • Having a passion and willingness to learn
  • Having strong working knowledge of all areas of the National Quality Framework 
  • Having commitment to safety and high standard of work output
  • Having the desire to motive and encourage your fellow educators and those who may resist change
  • Having the availability to work a rotating roster
