About Goodstart Mackay, Bridge Road

Location: Goodstart Early Learning Child Care Centre Mackay - Bridge Road is conveniently situated near the city, schools, base hospital, and airport.

Facilities: The purpose-built centre comprises two buildings designed to cater to children from six weeks to school age. Each room is equipped with age-appropriate materials, fostering both physical and social development.

Professional Staff: Our qualified early learning professionals collaborate with parents to create educational programs tailored to each child's unique pace. Children make discoveries about themselves and their surroundings through play and problem-solving activities.

Kindergarten Program: We offer a government-funded Kindergarten program for children aged 4 to 5 years. Excursions to the local school's prep room before orientation facilitate a smooth transition, allowing children to meet teachers and families.

Curriculum: Our play-based curriculum, aligned with the Early Years' Learning Framework, spans all age groups from Nursery to Kindergarten. We design engaging programs tailored to individual interests, needs, and strengths, preparing children for their school journey.

Storypark Platform: Utilising the intuitive Storypark platform, we ensure consistent and clear communication with families. This enables us to support each child's learning journey, provide peace of mind for parents, and timestamp children's development, milestones, and achievements.

Outdoor Environment: Our playground areas feature a harmonious blend of natural and manmade elements, promoting environmental awareness and sustainability. The recently upgraded outdoor space includes shade sails, sandpits, forts, swings, and a bike track, allowing children to explore, play, and unleash their imaginations.

Educational Activities: Engaging in outdoor activities such as riding around the bike track, tending a vegetable and herb garden, and caring for chickens like Henny Penny and Chicken Little provides valuable early learning opportunities, teaching healthy habits and pet responsibilities.

Community Engagement: We prioritise community involvement, inviting families to visit the centre and participate in various events and activities throughout the year. Daily art, music experiences, and other extra-curricular activities encourage children to express their creativity freely.
