As a teacher at Goodstart Mackay, Shakespeare Street you will inspire a love of learning in children and foster their development through purposeful, intentional teaching practices that are delivered with creativity and energy. You will build meaningful relationships with families, so each child has a strong sense of belonging that supports them to thrive. Your love of teaching will be reflected in how you mentor and guide educational practices in your room, and in your work with the broader centre leadership team to develop, review, and implement high-quality early learning programs, to ensure you’re achieving optimal outcomes for children.  

About our Centre: Goodstart Mackay, Shakespeare Street is a 74 Place Service, located close to town and local schools and shops. We are an “exceeding” rated Centre for assessment and rating under the National Quality Framework, and we run an extensive transition to school program on a Wednesday with Victoria Park State School. We have a team of qualified and passionate educators who work alongside our families to provide the best possible outcomes for the children.

You’ll help achieve this by :  

• Having a Bachelor of Early Childhood Education or ACECQA Equivalent or Studying towards your Bachelor
• Having passion and enthusiasm for Early Childhood Education
• Having experience or interest of working with children with challenging behaviors
