Location: Supporting services across South Australia, with 1 day based at the Mawson Lakes Centre Support Office and a minimum of 1 day onsite at services

Join Goodstart as a Hybrid Safety & Recover@Work Partner you’ll support both our Safety, Health & Wellbeing and our Recover@Work teams. You’ll be the trusted first point of contact supporting our centres and people leaders with timely, practical advice that keeps our people safe, supported and well. Along with managing a diverse caseload of Workers Compensation matters and providing expert WC advice.

Your Impact:
- Partner with Centre Directors, operational leaders, and centre support teams to support implementation and monitoring of WHS management system requirements.
- Provide practical, workplace-level guidance to Goodstarters to enable safe work practices and effective risk control implementation.
- Promote positive safety behaviours and reinforce Goodstart’s safety values and expectations.
- Respond to WHS enquiries and incidents by applying established policies, procedures, standards and relevant legislation.
- Apply early intervention claims management strategies and approved initiatives to all work related and non-work-related injury/incidents. This includes partnering with Axis and Telehealth Services.
- Notification / lodgement of claims for work place injuries and illnesses to insurer / agent within legislative timeframes.
- Develop and monitor meaningful Recover@Work plans for work related and non-work-related injuries in consultation with injured employee, their manager, and other relevant stakeholders.
- Coach and mentor operations teams and employees at a local level in relation to return to work matters including supporting early intervention messaging and Recover@Work principles.
- Maintain compliance registers ensuring accuracy, currency and integrity of records.
- Prepare reports, summaries and documentation to enable operational awareness and ownership.

You’ll bring to the table:
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in injury management and workers compensation management
- Cert 4 WHS or equivalent demonstrated experience
- Current Return to Work Coordinator (RTWC) certification
- Demonstrated understanding and application of Workplace Health and Safety Legislation
- Experience working in a social enterprise, education or health sector
- Effectively manages new and unexpected events, and demonstrates judgement about when to escalate issues
- Demonstrated customer service mindset that keeps the customer at the centre of what you do
- Highly efficient with high levels of accuracy and attention to detail
- Flexible and able to operate in a dynamic environment
- Current Working with Children Check for the State or Territory residing in
