This is a fixed term contract until May 2022 (covering an internal secondment) and 38 hours per week


About Our Centre


Goodstart Merriwa is located off Marmion Avenue and is situated in a residential area on the expanding north coast, close to local schools and shops. We have a large car park providing ample parking for families and visitors to the Centre. MERRIWA means a good place in the aboriginal Noongar tribe. We are respectful in acknowledging many cultures that make up our community, our team and our families. We believe in making community connections that support our families, this creates an awareness of support services available for our families and also builds a sense of community connection through shared centre information and events.

Our centre was assessed by (ACECQA) and we received an overall rating of ‘Exceeding’. This process is a National Framework, which rates all Childcare Centres across Australia against the National Quality Standards.


Position Requirements

  • Must hold at least a Diploma in Children’s Services (or ACECQA assessed equivalent)
  • Have substantial experience in a similar role
  • Previous experience with business administration (desirable)
  • Successful candidate will be able to work a rotating roster


You Will Help Achieve This By

  • Supporting the Centre Director in the leadership of the team, providing high-quality early learning and care
  • Responsible for the overall management of the centre in the centre director’s absence
  • Use and implement the Goodstart Practice Guide
