Role: HR/ER Advisor - Investigations

Our Role:

 

As our HR/ER Advisor - Investigations, you will be the key point of contact for allegations relating to workplace matters involving child harm. Reporting to the Head of People, and working within the People and Culture team, you will ensure procedural fairness in investigations, support the Child Safe Panel, and provide leaders with advice and tools to make informed and timely decisions in line with our child safe commitment.  

 

Your Impact:

  • Manage the assessment and case management of workplace matters involving child harm.
  • Oversee allegations, investigations, and risk assessments with fairness and transparency.
  • Support the Child Safe Panel, presenting issues and recommendations for outcomes.
  • Equip leaders and teams to prevent, identify, and respond to risks using the look, do, tell framework.
  • Partner with leaders on complex child protection incidents and workplace issues.
  • Ensure compliance with legislation, regulations, and National Principles for Child Safe Organisations.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential case records using case management systems.
  • Collaborate with the People team to drive continuous improvement in investigations and people practices.
  • Champion wellbeing initiatives that foster compassion, support, and a safe culture.

You’ll bring to the table:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Human Resources, ECEC or equivalent experience
  • Demonstrated experience in managing investigations, disciplinary processes, or grievance matters
  • Strong understanding of people processes and compliance requirements
  • Customer service mindset with the ability to support leaders and teams with empathy and professionalism
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to tailor your approach to different audiences
  • Systems and technology savvy- comfortable using case management tools and operating in a tech-enabled environment
  • High levels of accuracy, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
  • Current Working with Children Check
