Our Role:

As a Business Intelligence Developer, you will play a key role in supporting Goodstart’s evolving data and analytics landscape through the development and optimisation of enterprise Business Intelligence solutions.

 

Working closely with stakeholders across the organisation, you will develop, maintain and enhance data warehousing, reporting and analytics solutions using technologies including Microsoft Fabric, SQL Server and Power BI.

 

You’ll contribute to Goodstart’s ongoing data modernisation journey, supporting the transformation of complex datasets into streamlined and scalable data models that enable more effective reporting, analytics and decision-making across the business.

Your Impact:

  • Develop and maintain enterprise Business Intelligence and data warehousing solutions
  • Design and optimise SQL data models, ETL processes and reporting solutions
  • Support the migration and modernisation of data platforms into Microsoft Fabric
  • Develop semantic models and dashboards using Power BI technologies
  • Ensure data accuracy, integrity and reliability across enterprise data environments
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business requirements and deliver fit-for-purpose solutions
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across data and analytics platforms
  • Support testing, validation and troubleshooting of data solutions and integrations
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation, standards and processes
  • Contribute to scalable, user-friendly and high-performing data solutions that support organisational goals

You’ll bring to the table:

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in a Business Intelligence Developer or related BI consulting role
  • Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Fabric (Essential)
  • Advanced SQL development skills with experience building complex data models and solutions
  • Experience developing dashboards, semantic models and visualisations using Power BI
  • Experience developing ETL and data transformation processes, ideally within Fabric Data Factory
  • Strong understanding of data warehousing methodologies, relational databases and data modelling
  • Experience working with large and complex datasets across enterprise environments
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to deliver scalable and practical technical solutions
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences
  • Experience working within Agile, DevOps and CI/CD delivery environments
  • Exposure to SAP HANA, SAP BI Suite or data migration initiatives will be highly regarded
  • Degree qualification in Information Technology, Business Studies or related discipline will be highly regarded
  • Current QLD Working with Children Check or willingness to obtain
