Our Role:

As an ICT Quality Engineer, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality, accuracy and reliability of Goodstart’s data solutions, system integrations and enterprise applications.

Working closely with Data, Engineering and ICT teams, you will support major transformation initiatives by validating data migrations, testing integrations, and ensuring seamless performance across modern technology platforms including Microsoft Fabric, SQL Server, SAP HANA and Power BI.

You’ll contribute to the ongoing uplift of Goodstart’s quality assurance capability, supporting automation, continuous improvement and modern testing practices across both data and application environments.

This role offers the opportunity to work within a collaborative ICT environment where your technical expertise and analytical mindset will directly support operational excellence, system reliability and successful technology delivery.

Your Impact:

• Design, develop and execute detailed test plans, test cases and test scripts across functional, integration, regression and performance testing
• Validate data transformations and reconciliations across Microsoft Fabric, SQL Server, SAP HANA and Power BI environments
• Conduct testing across applications, APIs, integrations, user interfaces and data pipelines
• Identify, investigate and document defects, discrepancies and performance issues
• Perform root cause analysis and collaborate with technical teams to resolve issues effectively
• Support test automation initiatives and continuous testing capabilities across data and application environments
• Build reusable test assets and automation frameworks to improve efficiency and reduce manual effort
• Validate data accuracy, modelling, synchronisation and integration processes across enterprise systems
• Support continuous improvement initiatives and uplift QA standards, frameworks and best practices
• Collaborate with ICT, Data and Engineering teams to support successful project delivery and operational excellence
• Contribute to modern QA practices including agile delivery, CI/CD and AI-driven testing capabilities

You’ll bring to the table:

• 5+ years’ experience in QA or software testing roles across data, analytics, integrations or enterprise technology environments
• Strong experience testing data migration, re-platforming or transformation initiatives across multiple technologies and systems
• Demonstrated expertise with Microsoft SQL Server or similar database technologies, including complex SQL query validation and reconciliation
• Experience validating data models, transformations and integration processes across large datasets
• Strong experience testing APIs, system integrations and application UI changes
• Experience with Power BI semantic modelling and reporting environments
• Exposure to test automation frameworks and modern QA methodologies
• Strong troubleshooting and root cause analysis capability across technical environments
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
• Ability to work collaboratively across ICT, Data and Engineering teams
• Exposure to Microsoft Fabric, Synapse, SAP HANA or Azure data pipelines will be highly regarded
• Understanding of agile delivery, CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices will be highly regarded
• Relevant Agile, QA or technology certifications will be highly regarded
• Current QLD Working with Children Check or willingness to obtain
