Role: SAP HCM/Payroll System Owner

We are seeking an experienced SAP HCM/Payroll System Owner to support, administer, and optimise Goodstart's payroll platform. You’ll be responsible for the technical administration, configuration, support, and continuous enhancement of the SAP Payroll solution, working closely with business stakeholders and service partners to ensure the platform remains stable, compliant, and aligned to business needs.
Your Impact:
A critical focus of this role is ensuring the successful operation, support, configuration, and ongoing management of SAP ECC 6.0 HCM/Payroll, including its integration with SAP SuccessFactors. Part of the Corporate Services IT Team, you will act as the primary subject matter expert for the payroll platform, providing technical leadership across support, maintenance, enhancement delivery, legislative compliance, and system optimisation activities.

You’ll bring to the table:
- Strong hands-on knowledge of SAP ECC 6.0 HCM/Payroll, with a minimum of 5 years' experience performing SAP HCM/Payroll system administration, support, and configuration activities.
- Demonstrated experience configuring and maintaining SAP Payroll schemas, rules, wage types and payroll-related functionality within SAP ECC.
- Proven experience supporting, troubleshooting, and managing integrations between SAP ECC HCM/Payroll and SAP SuccessFactors, including inbound and outbound interfaces, custom developments, and data reconciliation processes.
- Experience delivering SAP Payroll enhancements and legislative changes through structured SAP change management processes, including requirements analysis, impact assessment, configuration, testing, transport management, deployment, and business readiness activities.
- Strong technical understanding of SAP support, release, and transport management processes, including defect resolution, root cause analysis, and production support.
- Demonstrated knowledge of Australian payroll legislation and compliance requirements from a payroll systems perspective, including PAYG withholding, Superannuation Guarantee, Single Touch Payroll (STP), Pay Day Super and statutory reporting obligations.
- Ability to assess legislative and business changes and translate requirements into SAP system configuration, testing, support, and change delivery outcomes.
- Strong understanding of payroll governance, controls, reconciliation, and compliance processes to ensure accurate payroll processing, reporting, and audit readiness.
- Strong stakeholder engagement, service partner management, and communication skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts into business outcomes.
- Knowledge of SuccessFactors Employee Central Payroll (ECP) and broader SuccessFactors solutions is highly desirable.
- Current QLD Working with Children Check or willingness to obtain
