Role: Social Impact Program Coordinator (Internal Title: Social Impact Program Support)

Supporting our Social Impact & Inclusion Program Manager and broader Social Impact team, you'll play an integral role in coordinating programs that improve inclusion, strengthen support for vulnerable children and families, and help deliver initiatives that create lasting community impact. Working across multiple projects, you'll provide the operational support that keeps programs moving while helping strengthen reporting, financial management, systems and ways of working.

 

This is a newly created role that has evolved alongside a growing function. As our Social Impact portfolio continues to expand, we're building stronger systems, improving reporting and creating more efficient ways of working. You'll have the opportunity to shape how the role develops while partnering with stakeholders across Goodstart to support programs that make a real difference.

Your Impact

You'll provide high-quality program coordination and operational support across a broad range of activities, including:

 

  • Coordinating administrative activities across multiple Social Impact programs and initiatives.
  • Maintaining program schedules, delivery calendars and project documentation.
  • Preparing agendas, coordinating meetings, taking minutes and tracking actions.
  • Supporting the delivery of professional learning, workshops and national events.
  • Preparing financial journals, transaction analysis and supporting monthly financial reporting.
  • Creating, maintaining and improving reporting through Excel, Power BI and Webi to support data-driven decision making.
  • Coordinating stakeholder communications and working collaboratively across multiple teams to ensure programs remain on track.
  • Identifying opportunities to streamline systems, improve processes and embed new ways of working across the Social Impact portfolio.
  • Providing flexible support across a broad range of Social Impact initiatives as priorities evolve.

What You'll Bring

  • Previous experience in program coordination, project support, business administration or a similar role.
  • Strong Excel skills and confidence working with data, reporting and financial information.
  • Experience using Power BI, Webi or similar reporting tools, or the willingness and capability to quickly learn.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to confidently manage competing priorities in a dynamic environment.
  • Experience coordinating meetings, events, reporting and stakeholder communications.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to build trusted relationships across all levels of the organisation.
  • A proactive approach to identifying opportunities for process improvement and implementing more efficient ways of working.
  • High attention to detail together with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience within education, early childhood, community services, government or the not-for-profit sector will be highly regarded.
  • A genuine passion for improving outcomes for children, families and communities.
