Workforce Planning Specialist

The Workforce Planning Specialist plays a key role in supporting the design and development of the workforce planning function in addition to delivering high quality planning and forecast outputs that drive talent decision-making in the business. 


You will work in partnership with diverse stakeholder groups to apply key insights and design thinking to facilitate, implement and continuously iterate effective resource planning capability across the organisation to ensure the right person is in the right role at the right time.


You will focus on short and long term planning horizons, efficiency, resource optimisation and continuous improvement, the role will ensure optimal resources are available to meet the demand plan and exceed service standards.


We are offering a full time, permanent position based in our Head Office in Murarrie.


About the role-

  • Provide leadership and subject matter expertise in the development and implementation of a consistent, evidence-based and fit-for-purpose approach to workforce planning at Goodstart
  • Develop quantitative and qualitative long-term workforce forecasts to inform investment and talent acquisition and retention strategies and operational labour planning
  • Analyse critical internal and external data to identify opportunities and risks to the workforce planning requirements of Goodstarts operational and strategic objectives
  • Work closely with key stakeholders, including talent acquisition and operational leaders, to develop workforce strategies required to meet workforce requirements now and in the future
  • Provide consistent, solutions-focused and timely workforce planning advice and coaching to strengthen workforce planning capability and performance across the organisation.
  • Effectively use people data to accelerate insights into various workforce segments, workforce blends and work design and allow us to design future workforce capability that is fit for purpose


About you –

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Maths or Statistics or similar required
  • 5+ years of experience in workforce planning, workforce management or related functions
  • Previous experience leading the implementation of critical workforce planning strategies and / or manage change in a large organisation
  • Technical expertise regarding data models, database design development, data mining and segmentation techniques
  • Previous experience collecting, organising and analysing significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy
  • Strong project management and time management skills; able to balance and prioritise multiple projects and initiatives at one time
