Pay: $39.28 - $40.41/hr + Super

As the Assistant Director at Goodstart Pooraka, you'll leverage your expertise and leadership to inspire and motivate your centre team, driving continuous improvement across all areas of centre operations. Collaborate with our dedicated leadership team, forge respectful and reciprocal relationships with families, and actively engage with the local community networks.

 

In this role, you will:

 

·       Support the Centre Director in the leadership of the team to provide high-quality early learning and care

·       Mentor and build capabilities within the centre team

·       Be responsible for the overall management of the centre in the Centre Director’s absence

·       Use and implement the Goodstart Practice Guide

·       55-place centre located in the welcoming Montague Farm community, offering a close-knit and supportive environment.

·       Collaborate closely with the Centre Director and a team of educators whose experience ranges from 1 to 30 years, fostering a culture of mentorship and professional growth.

·       Lead and support inclusive programs tailored for children of all abilities, including those with developmental delays and additional needs.

·       Engage with families and the community through partnerships with local businesses and the Pooraka Farm Community Centre, enhancing children's learning experiences.

You’ll need:

 

·       Current SA Working with Children Check and First Aid qualification

·       Diploma in Children Services or higher qualification (ACECQA approved)
