As a teacher at Goodstart Port Kennedyyou will inspire a love of learning in children and foster their development through purposeful, intentional teaching practices that are delivered with creativity and energy. You will build meaningful relationships with families, so each child has a strong sense of belonging that supports them to thrive. Your love of teaching will be reflected in how you mentor and guide educational practices in your room, and in your work with the broader centre leadership team to develop, review, and implement high-quality early learning programs, to ensure you’re achieving optimal outcomes for children.

About our Centre

Goodstart Early Learning Port Kennedy is located across the road from Rockingham Lakes Primary School. Our centre has recently been rated an Exceeding centre, which is a tremendous award that we are extremely proud of. Several of our educators are bi- or multi-lingual, and share their native languages with the children as well as extending the hand of familiarity to children from similar backgrounds, promoting a sense of self and belonging.

  • Fulltime – 38 hours/Part time
  • Opening hours 6:30am – 6pm
  • Rotating roster (however can be negotiated) to support work life balance
  • Supportive Centre Director

 

 

You’ll help achieve this by   

  • Hold or studying a Bachelor of Early Childhood or equivalent qualification (ACECQA approved)
  • Support the centre director in the leadership of the team to provide high-quality early learning and care
  • Hold a valid WWCC in WA
  • Hold an up to date Professional Teachers Registration (state applicable)
  • Have extensive knowledge of the EYLF and understanding of the NQF/NQS
