Role: NQS Partner - VIC West & TAS

As an NQS Partner at Goodstart Early Learning, you'll facilitate our Internal Assessment and Rating Process working across your managed state/region which will support centres develop a deeper understanding and confidence to embed the National Quality Framework. After each visit, you will complete a detailed report to assist each centre on their continuous improvement journey to understand how their centre aligns with the ECEC legislation and National Quality Standards.
Your expertise and guidance will play a vital role in creating meaningful and better outcomes for children.
This is a hybrid role. Expect around 3–4 days per week at centres, with the rest spent on report writing, analysis, and collaboration with the broader quality team.
Your Impact:
In this role, you’ll:
- Deliver Goodstart’s internal NQS A&R Process – from desktop preparation and evidence gathering through to centre visits, professional conversations, and final reports
- Apply the NQS, National Law and National Regulations consistently and objectively to assess quality practice across diverse centre environments
- Produce clear, practical reports that support centres and state teams for continuous improvement and alignment with the NQF
- Conduct professional conversations that are engaging, respectful, and supportive-balancing objectivity with a strengths-based lens
- Collaborate closely with the NQS Partner Lead and NQS Quality & Moderation Specialist on calibration, consistency, and continuous improvement of methodology
- Participate in moderation sessions and contribute to the ongoing refinement of tools, guidance, and internal assessment practices
- Support national consistency of the internal assessment process across Goodstart’s nearly 700 centres

You’ll bring to the table:
Essential:
- Qualification in Early Childhood Education or a relevant field
- Deep knowledge and practical experience working with or within the ECEC sector
- Strong experience interpreting and applying the National Quality Framework in practice
- Strong report writing and analytical skills, you can translate complex information into clear, actionable insights
- Current valid Working with Children Check
- Current driver’s licence. This role requires travel to Goodstart centres across your managed state/region
Desirable:
- Experience working as an Authorised Officer, Nominated Supervisor, or in a quality or regulatory role
- Experience conducting internal assessments or audits
- Experience participating in Assessment & Rating or quality audit processes
- Familiarity with digital assurance tools, reporting systems, and data platforms
