Centre:  Goodstart Prospect – New Centre opening November 2024

Pay:  Starting from $35.93 per hour + Super

As the Assistant Director at Goodstart Prospect you'll leverage your expertise and leadership to inspire and motivate your centre team, driving continuous improvement across all areas of centre operations. Collaborate with our dedicated leadership team, forge respectful and reciprocal relationships with families, and actively engage with the local community networks. 
 

In this role, you will:  

• Support the Centre Director in the leadership of the team to provide high-quality early learning and care 

• Mentor and build capabilities within the centre team 

• Be responsible for the overall management of the centre in the Centre Director’s absence 

• Use and implement the Goodstart Practice Guide 

About Goodstart Prospect 

• Goodstart Prospect is located in residential area, and opposite to Blackfriars Priory School. 
• Your new purpose-built Early Learning centre has six separate and spacious age-based learning spaces, including two nursery, two toddler learning spaces, and two kindergarten rooms. 
• Stimulating and welcoming indoor environments, while outside we offer many sensory and play-based opportunities for learning.
• The design is a modern yet home like, naturally inspired environment. 
• All outdoor play spaces are directly accessible from the indoor learning areas. 
• Our Centre Director Nicole has been with Goodstart since 2018, and has been in leadership for the last 5 years. Nicole values the strong relationships shared between families, children and educators and believe these are key to supporting happy, strong, and independent learners. Building a safe, welcoming, and supportive community for children, families and educators at our Centre is her top priority.

If you have previous experience as an Assistant Director or in a centre leadership position, or similar, then we’d love to talk to you about which of our amazing opportunities would be the best fit for you. 
 

You’ll need: 

• A Diploma or bachelor’s in early childhood education  

• Hold a current Working with Children Check, or be willing to obtain one 

• Experience with leading and managing change within education, health or community services 

• Experience in delivering integrated early childhood services in areas of disadvantage 

• Proven commercial acumen with financial and operational performance management
