SLOW Pedagogy Teacher | Red Hill, Magandjin/Meanjin/Brisbane

At Goodstart Early Learning Red Hill we have a rare opportunity to invite an ECT-qualified team member to join our Excellent-rated service.

With a strong focus on Connection and Collaboration, we prioritise our relationships with colleagues, children, families and carers, and our local community for a strong Place-based driven engagement and practice.

Our Collaborative Leadership model encourages leadership development and growth as a Pedagogy Leader. You will gain SLOW Pedagogy experience with each age group (15m-3y, 2-4y, 3-5y) and the option to return to “looping” within Red Hill, or develop a succession plan to take on a role as a Centre Director, Assistant Director, Educational Leader, or Early Childhood Teacher at another Goodstart service.

As an Early Childhood Teacher, you’ll inspire a love of learning in children and foster their development through purposeful, intentional teaching practices that are delivered with creativity and curiosity. You will build a strong partnership with families and carers to ensure each child has a strong sense of belonging that supports them to thrive. Your love of teaching will be reflected in how you mentor and guide educational practices in your room, and in your work with the broader centre leadership team to develop, review, and implement high-quality early learning programs, to to support the children to achieve optimal outcomes.

  • Co-design. As a part of the Pedagogical Leadership team, you will co-design the centre’s overall program alongside other Leads, guided by our Educational Leader.
  • Co-learn. As a life-long learner, you will encourage child-led learning to support the children in processing information, problem-solving, and celebrating their agency.
  • Lead Learning. Guide the implementation of effective educational strategies in your classroom.
  • Inspire Growth: As a well-researched member of our team, you will support your team’s knowledge base and have the opportunity to contribute to showcasing practice to our network of professionals.

You’ll help achieve this by:

  • Having a Bachelor of Early Childhood Education or ACECQA Equivalent OR studying towards your qualification
  • Having passion and enthusiasm for connection and collaboration
  • Having the initiative to drive innovation within the Centre

You’ll need:

  • Bachelor of Early Childhood or equivalent qualification (ACECQA approved)
