We’re looking for an enthusiastic Teacher to develop programs and practices that are responsive to our children’s needs and aligned with the Early Years Learning Framework and National Quality Standard. Located close to a breathtaking coastline, Goodstart Early Learning Rockingham is a warm, welcoming centre that places emphasis on the natural environment. From learning environments flooded with natural light to spaces and a playground that provides opportunities for children to learn as they explore, discover and imagine, Goodstart Rockingham holds a great appreciation and connection to its natural environments. Providing opportunities to explore outcomes associated with creativity, initiative and resilience, the natural environments encourage children to take considered risks in decision making, develop friendships, conduct experiments and nurture wild imaginations.

Our centre was assessed by (ACECQA) and we received an overall rating of ‘Exceeding’. This process is a National Framework, which rates all Childcare Centres across Australia against the National Quality Standards.

 

Responsibilities

 

  • Assess children’s learning and development and apply pedagogical expertise to inform curriculum decisions
  • Maintain and apply expert knowledge of the National Quality Framework
  • Seek and share best practice examples to improve the education program
  • Build and maintain strong, positive relationships with families, children and the centre team
  • Model effective application of pedagogy in teaching practice
  • Contribute to a professional and positive work culture


Requirements

 

  • Hold a Bachelor of Early Childhood or equivalent qualification (ACECQA approved)
  • Hold a current Teachers Registration
  • Hold a current First Aid qualification
  • Incursions and Excursions encouraged
  • Plan innovative and engaging learning experiences
  • Champion positive and meaningful relationships with children
  • 38 hours per week (negotiable roster)
  • Working in our 3-4's room
