Your Impact!

As a teacher at Goodstart Walkerston you will inspire a love of learning in children and foster their development through purposeful, intentional teaching practices that are delivered with creativity and energy. You will build meaningful relationships with families, so each child has a strong sense of belonging that supports them to thrive. Your love of teaching will be reflected in how you mentor and guide educational practices in your room, and in your work with the broader centre leadership team to develop, review, and implement high-quality early learning programs, to ensure you’re achieving optimal outcomes for children. 

About our Centre: Goodstart Walkerston is a 74 place service, caring for children from Nursery through to Kindergarten. We pride ourselves on the genuine and nurturing relationships that our educators and teachers have with the children and their families. We have a friendly, passionate and qualified educators with a supportive leadership team. We are proud to be an “exceeding” NQS Service.

You’ll help achieve this by :  

• Having a Bachelor of Early Childhood Education or ACECQA Equivalent OR studying towards your Bachelor
• Having passion and enthusiasm for Early Childhood Education
• Having initiative to drive innovation within the Centre
• Having extensive knowledge of the EYLF and understanding of the NQF/NQS
• Having the passion and experience to work with children with challenging behaviours
