Employment Type: Full-time, Permanent

Pay:  $41.47 - $47.66 p/h (Depending on experience & qualification)

As the Assistant Director at Goodstart West Pymble you'll leverage your expertise and leadership to inspire and motivate your centre team, driving continuous improvement across all areas of centre operations. Collaborate with our dedicated leadership team, forge respectful and reciprocal relationships with families, and actively engage with the local community networks.

 

In this role, you will:

  • Support the Centre Director in the leadership of the team to provide high-quality early learning and care
  • Mentor and build capabilities within the centre team
  • Be responsible for the overall management of the centre in the Centre Director’s absence
  • Use and implement the Goodstart Practice Guide

Nestled in the charming, leafy suburb of West Pymble, just a stone's throw from the stunning Ku-ring-gai Chase National Park, our centre boasts a cosy, nature-inspired atmosphere.

  • Supporting the centre in working in a full-time position.
  • Primarily will be working in Pre-School Room. With the flexibility of supporting other age groups in the centre.
  • Rotating shift during operating hours 7:30am – 6pm – flexible leadership schedule tailored to meet the dynamic of our early learning community.
  • Join a centre that embraces the importance of teamwork! Participating in team building activities, getting the community involved with the centre and explore cultural diversity within the team.
  • Promoting career progression and professional development.


You’ll need:

  • Diploma in Early Childhood (or ACECQA approved equivalent)
  • Open to consider newly ECT graduates with experience in leadership and EYLF. Must hold a NESA accreditation.
  • Strong knowledge of the Early Years Learning Framework and National Quality Standards
  • Current NSW Working with Children Check
