As an Educator you will be a team player, collaborating with the Senior Educators and Educational Leader within your centre to observe, inform and continuously improve our educational programs on offer to children. You put safety first with everything that you do and ensure all learning experiences are inclusive and respond to the needs of all children.

About Goodstart Wonthella:

We offer a welcoming environment, and slow paced transitions to ensure everyone is comfortable. We love to involve both children and families in service decisions.

Our centre is open 6:30am to 6:30pm, excluding public holidays and is situated in a quiet suburb of the up and coming popular coastal City of Greater Geraldton.

All our educators are qualified at either Degree, Diploma or Certificate 3 and offer a variety of skills and attributes to support the needs of the centre.

Our rooms are set up in line with an Early Years Learning Framework, with natural, sensory play based learning opportunities.

With 5 rooms the centre offers large open plan learning environments. Purposeful and stimulating learning environments ensure the children have the chance to grow and develop through sensory, play-based learning; and we are focused on ensuring the children are ready to take that all important step up to school.

Through our intuitive Storypark platform we are able to provide consistent and clear communications with families. That means we are better placed to support a child in their learning journey, ensure parents have peace of mind, and time stamp the children’s developments, milestones and achievements.

Outside, we have age appropriate play spaces and equipment, all set up to enhance the children’s awareness of their wider surroundings by providing an extension to their learning environment, as well as their understanding of the importance of sustainability.

We also have designated art and construction spaces for the children to actively participate in during the day.

Our talented cook continuously looks for opportunities to deliver a variety of exciting home cooked nutritious meals to cater to all children’s individual dietary requirements. Meal times are seen as an opportunity to develop essential skills for life-long learning. Skills such as food preparation, self-serve, laying the table, washing of dishes, as well as the promotion of turn taking and socialisation skills. This is incorporated into our progressive meal times. We offer an early morning breakfast club as well as nutritionally balanced meals of morning tea, lunch, afternoon tea and a late snack.

As we are an inclusive centre, we love to explore a diversity of customs, traditions, festivals and celebrations and incorporate this into the everyday life of our centre.
