Role:Educator – Catering Assistant position

Employment Type: Permanent Part Time – 25 hours a week

Your Impact

Prepping and serving meals each day for the children, and covering Educators shifts during lunch. You will be a team player, who is flexible and willing to support our centres and children when and where required. You put safety first with everything that you do and ensure all learning experiences are inclusive and respond to the needs of all children.

You’ll need: 

  • Certificate III or Diploma in Early Childhood (or ACECQA approved equivalent) as well as a Certificate III in commercial cookery (is beneficial but not necessary) and experience in commercial cooking is necessary
  • Strong knowledge of the Early Years Learning Framework and National Quality Standards 
  • Current QLD Working with Children Check  
  • Support the health and wellbeing of the children through preparing the nutritious meals and snacks
  • Prepare meals to meet the needs of children with special dietary requirements and allergies
  • Exceptional knowledge of safety and wellbeing
  • Ensure safe and hygienic storage, handling and preparation of food and drinks
  • Willingness to learn and be a part of the team
  • Strong communication skills, reliable and punctual
